Vertical level XL/127-PLAST-SL with min level electrical signal
Thermoplastic level gauges made of transparent polyamide with good mechanical resistance, are compatible with mineral oil, gasoline, lubricant, petroleum, solvents and most chemical agents. Avoid contact with alcohol-based solutions and high-temperature antifreeze. For this type of application, use the special model/CX which is made of special resin resistant to fluids containing alcohol and antifreeze.
External plastic protection made of PA66 30% fiberglass.
The internal body of the level gauges consists of two transparent parts assembled and then sealed using an ultrasonic welding process, to ensure a leak-free seal around the body. Inside the transparent body there is a graduated white sticker made of ”Vinile Cast” to improve the view of the level.
M12 zinc plated bolts and flanged nuts are standard (optional AISI 303 stainless steel bolts and nuts available, Buna 70 durometer flat gasket; maximum recommended tightening torque = 5Nm ( 3.7ft lbs).
Mounting can be done externally by providing 2 M12 threaded holes at 127mm (tolerance ± 0.2mm); alternatively, they can be secured internally through 2 smooth holes Ø 12.5 mm (-0.2) using the flange nuts.
Maximum working temperature 80°C (176°F). Maximum working pressure 1 bar (14.7 PSI), (if used in pressurized tanks, contact us).
The REED switch sensor is connected to the internal transparent tube, adjustable in height according to the level control requirements; sensor is supplied with power cable (length 30 cm / 0.98 ft) and M8 male connector; on request it is possible to provide a separate connection cable (length 250 cm / 8.2 ft) complete with M8 female connector.
Floating element made of technopolymer containing a magnetic element that closes the electrical contact when it reaches the ”REED” level switch sensor.
Standard executions: with electrical contact normally open.
Operation characteristics: the XL127-PLAST-SL vertical level gauge, in addition to allowing a visual inspection, provides an electrical signal when the floating element reaches the minimum preset level, after closing the electrical circuit.
